Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I declare that I have not committed PLAGIUM.
    I made reference to all ideas of other authors.
    I assume full responsibility if PLAGIUM is identified in my work.
  • The METADATA are correctly informed, including the title of the article in lowercase letters, the identification of the authors, the highest academic title of each author, their institutional affiliation, and their current profession.
  • This article is the result of research by an author(s) with a doctoral degree. If this is not the case, we present the justification for the exceptional nature of the text (use the box "Comments to the editor).
  • The manuscript is original, unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication by another journal. If otherwise, please justify when submitting in the option: "Comments to the editor".
  • I'm aware that my work will be submitted to peer and blind evaluation.
  • I confirm that the submitted file is in Microsoft Word format and does not contain any identification of authorship, nor elements that allow identification.
  • The text is limited to 15 to 25 pages, from introduction to conclusion, on A4 paper, 3 cm margins, 1.5 cm line spacing, font Arial 12, justified paragraph alignment, and first-line indent of 1.25 cm. The direct quotations with more than 3 lines have Arial 10, 4 cm indentation, and simple line spacing.
  • I declare that I have read the Guidelines for Authors on the About Journal page and have applied the bibliographic standards to the text before submitting it to RBSD.

Author Guidelines

DO NOT SUBMIT THE MANUSCRIPT WITHOUT READING THESE NORMATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS

Do not contain plagiarism. Articles with the reproduction of someone else's ideas without reference to authorship will not be accepted.

Fill in all the METADATA of the author(s).

Authors must have a doctor degree or equivalent. In exceptional cases, other titles may be accepted.

The file submitted as a research paper may not contain any identification of the authors, nor elements that allow such identification. If there is nay kind of identification, submission will be rejected. When submitting, please fill in the fields of submission metadata, especially the name you want to appear as author, institutional affiliation, biography and degree(s).

Articles

Pages: the article should contain a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 pages, from introduction to conclusion, on A4 paper, all margins 3 cm.

Font: Arial, size 12, justified.

Indentation: 1.25 cm (Word normal).

Title and subtitle (if any) of the article: do not write in capital letters. In Portuguese and English, up to 100 characters with spaces. Arial font, size 12, bold and left-aligned. The subtitle, below the title, without bold.

Important: acknowledgments and references to funding agency(ies) should only appear in the peer-reviewed version of the article for publication.

Abstract: in Portuguese (resumo) and English, containing at least the duly delimited object of research, the problematization, the methodology (method and techniques used), the discussions and the results. Continuous text of 100 to 200 words, Arial font, size 12, single spacing between lines and justified alignment.

Keywords: in Portuguese and English. Between 3 and 5 words. Right below the abstract. Arial font, size 12, justified alignment. Place a period (.) between each keyword.

Textual elements: the body of the article should include the introduction, the development of the sections, the discussions, the results and the references. The titles of each section should be written in capital letters.

Important: citations should be made according to the author-date system (Author, year, p.), inserting the page number whenever possible.

Structure:

1 INTRODUCTION: with title and subtitle (optional). The Introduction is numbered "1". Example: 1 INTRODUCTION.

2 (3, 4...) DEVELOPMENT: sequence of the parts of the text. Example: 2 SOCIOLOGY OF LAW; 3 LAW IN SOCIETY; 4 SECTION TITLE.

3 CONCLUSION: this is the final part with the reflections made, discussions and results of the research. Remember that results are not to be confused with solving the research problem.

REFERENCES: list in alphabetical order of the works cited exclusively in the text. Do not number the word REFERENCES. For referenced works: Arial font, size 12, single spacing between lines, justified, 6-point spacing between each referenced work.

RBSD welcomes the publication of interviews with researchers who have produced in the field of sociology of law or related areas. Anyone interested should contact the editors.

Reviews

Submitted reviews must comply with the ARTICLE rules where applicable and the following specific rules:

Title of the review

Full reference of the reviewed book.

Information about the author and his/her background, as well as a contextualization of the work in the author's biography.

In 4 to 6 pages, develop the review by exploring the structure and content of the work being reviewed, making your own reflections, relating (where relevant) to other works or current debate and concluding with an analysis of the work reviewed.

If it is necessary to include other sources, make the appropriate references.

The names and addresses informed to RBSD will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.
