Abstract

The article deals with the exposure of black women to violence in the city of Campinas. Starting with the article "Urban Space, Violence and Black Women: Part 1" which theoretically supports the object of reflection presented here in reference of basic concepts of racism and the condition of racial inequality in urban space, it was possible to develop this new reflection, now focusing on black women who are subjected to a situation of greater social vulnerability than black men. The article applies the method proposed by  Chicago School, focusing on the lack of urbanization (lack of access to public facilities) as a factor in the increase in violence and feminist criminology, that relates gender, poverty and  race as factors that increase discrimination. In this sense black women are the people who are most exposed to situations of urban violence and social vulnerability, because of sexist and racist structures that determines their lifes in neighborhoods that are less urbanized, in the worst structural conditions and that are more vulnerable and likely to situations of violence. The research is based on historical and demographic datas, interdisciplinary literature on race, class and gender, based on the theoretical framework of Robert Ezra Park, Angela Davis, Loic Wacquant and Lélia Gonzales and complemented by texts by Milton Santos, Josué Mastrodi, Waleska Batista and Silvio Almeida.

Keywords: Human Rights. Social development. Feminist Criminology. Black women. Urban violence.
