The challenges faced by female professors in legal courses

The article analyzes law’s teaching from a gender perspective, relating the female presence to the challenges faced by them, as well as analyzing their professional trajectory. It also treat about women's legal protection in the job’s market, discussing the existing protective legislative apparatus, as well as its scarcity. It is organized in two parts, one deals with the relevant legal apparatus to the subject and the other analyzes the results of the field research reasoned in the interview with 4 professors in the area, in different universities in the city of Anápolis, Goiás. The semi-structured script was organized around the following blocks of questions: a) socioeconomic profile; b) professional formation and performance and c) Family life and its conciliation with professional life. The discussion was based on the bibliography about the legal world from the perspective of gender, on data from the Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ), the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), the Censo da Educação Superior e da Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS). The data collected and the existing literature allowed a discussion about the nuances of gender in teaching, as well as the challenges still faced by female professionals.
