Abstract

The text analyzes the contours of Empirical Research in Law in Brazil, especially techniques for analyzing the data and information achieved during scientific work. It is questioned: how much of empirical research and how much, within it, comprises specific methodologies, such as content analysis, object of this study, focused on the Sociology of Law event (since 2015 to 2019), one of the biggest events in legal sociology in Brazil. A methodological mix of bibliographic review and documentary analysis of the annals of that event is adopted deductively, with a critical thematic approach to the content analysis technique in Law.
